bento.travel solves this. We curate the essential local apps for each country, organized by category, so you know exactly what to download before you land.

How it works

Pick your destination. Get an opinionated, category-organized list of apps — ride hailing, food delivery, payments, messaging, navigation, and more. Each app is marked as either "Essential" (you really need this) or "Nice to have" (useful but optional).

How we curate

Every app on bento.travel is hand-picked based on real traveler experience, local knowledge, and community feedback. We don't list every app — just the ones that matter. Our editorial approach prioritizes apps that are genuinely essential for daily life in each country, not just well-known globally.
